Christmas 2015

Brennan and I have developed a tradition when it comes to spending time with our family during the holidays. We like to get together, hang out, talk and laugh. Our families are both pretty interesting and funny! I can honestly say there is hardly ever a dull moment. Usually we are talking about our latest business plans and cracking jokes in the process.

This year was pretty exciting for me. I won an award at my job which was very unexpected. I’ve been there for five months. I cast my vote for an individual who I just knew would win the award. I was sitting there in awe when they called my name. As I went to accept my award I kept telling myself to be strong, Lol, I was so overcome with emotion I started crying. (It’s a great feeling to know the people I work with appreciate me and the work that I do). I always approach my job from a customer service stand point and I make it a point to treat people how I would want someone to treat me or my family.
We were invited to attend a candlelight service. We agreed to attend, it was great to worship and be amongst other believers. This was our first time going to a service like this and as visitors of the church we were made to feel very welcomed. The highlight for me, the candles we lit and held high while we sang Silent Night!

I’ve labeled myself the Uno Queen and I kept my title on Christmas against Brennan and Uncle Don. It was back and forth for a while, but of course I was able to make it to the end victorious! Brennan is so much fun to play against. He doesn’t talk as much trash as I do, but he cracks his jokes which are hilarious!

It was nice to meet my two new cousins. My cousin Kadedra delivered a beautiful healthy baby girl named Jayda on Christmas Eve and my cousin Shannon had her beautiful baby girl Avery four months ago! I had a cold, so I didn’t get a chance to hold the babies. I couldn’t resist playing with them from a distance and got to exchange several smiles with Avery! ❤️

Overall it was a really good Christmas.  We got  to spend quality time with our family, we ate good and made it safely home to relax and enjoy the rest of our winter vacation. I have a unique and diverse family! My favorite part about the holidays is being able to share it with such incredible people!
